Is this Top Gear advertising an epic fail?

Love this clever little idea to advertise Top Gear’s “Ambitious but Rubbish” feature. It works well in pedestrian areas, but I also pass one on the way to work, the subtlety is lost when driving by at 100kms!

Top Gear Outdoor Advertising

What do you think? Is this idea brilliant or it’s own epic fail?

  • Yes and no. It is a pattern interrupt that makes people stop and take notice. They almost can’t help to read what is on it once they notice it is upside down. Their curiosity gets the best of them. I like the pattern interrupt, but the ad itself is pretty bad. Colors are bad. It doesn’t really do much other than the interrupt.
